The thinking about TPMS, seems to depend on the local legal requirements and secondly, your wish about whether to be informed that the tyre/tire pressure is low.
My own car does have TPMS, but it is not (UK) legally required to have them.
A sensor battery failed last year, so the dashboard warning does briefly comes on at each engine start.
I have always regularly checked pressures on all of my cars.
Expect to have the warning light blocked at the next service.
