I had trouble getting the rotor arm off and after much effort and a bit of leverage it came off. Fitted a new one, but I now seem to have quite a lot of up/ down movement in the rotor arm, which I can also turn anti clockwise to some extent. Don't think that this was evident before, so have I done some damage? Car runs perfectly though

It is possible to pull the springs off with too much force.
