Getting a 911s history?

Is there a way of getting a list of parts supplied for a given car from Porsche. I think I heard mention of it before, although the OPC got extremely cagey when I was asking about it, saying I'd have to try and work out who the dealer was who did the work and ask them directly. Started wittering on about data protection act too...

Just trying to ascertain whether a car I'm looking at has ever been accident repaired. Is there a way to find out?

Its not that I'm overly concerned if its done properly, but from what I can gather it puts other people off a lot which would probably cause resale pain in the future.
