I love my wife, I really do. We understand each other and she's a lovely lovely person. But she is one of a kind and ploughs her own furrow on a lot of things, esp stuff she buys.......some of which I find, well unfathomable.

I was heading out through the utility room and my eye caught this. I did a proper double take cos I was sure I'd must have mis-read it. The individual words I understand, but what the hell is a foot mask? I don't really want to know, tbh. Just struck me as a very strange thing.

Anyone else come across odd stuff that's made/bought/acquired by their other halves?

is it really that complicated?

I'll bet you do some stuff that she finds just as perplexing.

No, not complicated at all. Never said that. Foot mask is what I find unfathomable - foot mask, not her.

There’s a picture of them in the bottom left of the packaging

I’m kinda with you on this one OP. Before my wife goes to bed each evening she spends a good few minutes moisturising. Not her face or somewhere understandable, just her knees. Unfathomable.

Elderly neighbour takes out her dog 5 or 6 times a day in all weathers starting at crazy o'clock.

That's 5 or 6 times a day she has to don, and then undon [?] outdoor clothing and footwear.

Unfathomable, how can folk be bothered with that amount of faff every day ?

...foot mask...
Oh yes...it's a thing.

Invented by a bloke though I would wager.

A bloke who for years had to sit & endure his beloved wife shaving piles of dusty parmigiano reggiano off her tired, overworked heels onto the bathroom floor / sofa / bed or whatever and thought to himself, "What can I do to combat this hideous habit without offending the one I love"?

"Maybe a loose fitting tissue sock infused with moist, fruity essence made in China for 1p but sold in Superdrug for £4.99..."

Years ago, your nan would have soaked her feet in the washing up bowl and used carbolic soap but where's the romance in that beauty regime?

If you want unfathomable, pray your beloved doesn't come home with a Dyson hairdryer...and show you the bill.
