E class - late W211 or early W212
Discussion
An early W212 as I prefer the styling. I had one of the first facelift car (a six month old) ex demo E250 AMG Line. I put circa 70k on it in 4 years including a few trips to Southern Europe.
I would recommend them, although I would go for the E350.
I enjoyed the car immensely, although when I replaced it I went back to a 5 Series.

About 7 years ago I bought a 211 instead of an early 212
I wanted a 3lite diesel or petrol and could only stretch to a 2litre 212
I figured the run-out 211 had all the niggles sorted too.
However, now, the 212 should be well practiced on by now (ie fixes for new model niggles fixed).
The boot line is much higher on the 212 which is much more practical for keeping things covered. I expect the 212 boot space is bigger overall - though the 211 isn’t small.
The 211 looks a bit dated now, but I expect prices for parts are likely to be cheaper for 211s.

I’d buy this 212 - not black or grey - an actual colour!

No nonsense car.
Might be better re-posting on the car buying thread.
