Recorded TV progs - is it just me?

Odd. If there's a film or other programme on TV that I'm half interested in, I keep the TV on and bumble about doing other stuff, playing on PH etc. Normal, fine.

If, however, I've RECORDED it, one of two things happens. Either I never watch it, because 'it'll still be there tomorrow', or I'm glued to it trying to catch every word and rewinding if I miss a bit of dialogue or action. It makes playing stuff back quite stressful!

Just wanted to know if anyone else suffers from this obsessive/compulsive disorder...

Yeah. Ive bought DVDs and never even opened them, but im bound to sit here later with Alien 3 on even though I do have the DVD and have no desire to really watch it, its somehow different on tv.

I’m just the same. I record loads of stuff and then never get around to watching it all.

I can’t stand to miss any dialog either. But what’s lost in rewinding and replaying is gained by fast-forwarding through the adverts

i recorded the whole series bar one TG episode.

still wish it was on though as well.

Same here - I have over 700 DVD's, half of which I've never watched.

But if a movie that I have on DVD comes on TV, I might well watch it - even with advert breaks. The missus us the same.

Having spoken to a few people with large DVD collections I have found the same thing, they spend ages deciding what to put on then just watch something on TV.

IF a film they have is on TV they will watch it even though they might have it on DVD...weird.

I have quite a few films that will probably never be shown on TV so I can always watch them like Crazy Mary Dirty Larry.

I watch all my new films when I get them apart from one, I still have not watched Risky Business, just not been in the mood

I only have two DVDs, both copies of ones I've given to people as presents! I generally use the DVD recorder for off-air stuff, then delete it.

Did you hear about the Irish video recorder? It records programmes you don't like and plays them when you're out...
