Superb result, heart-warming to see a sensible result in the midst of all the usual lefty car hating lunacy...

A win if your hobby is reversing round traffic islands and driving up the wrong side of the road to circumvent a traffic queue, whilst driving your car at a pedestrian attempting to stop you.

And before we get to the ‘jumping up onto the bonnet’ comments, the overhead view plainly shows the car strike the guy and he elects to go up rather than under the car.

Sounds like a better hobby than waiting around on a street corner taking out your daddy issues on passing motorists. The guy is a menace and is lucky he hasn't picked on the wrong blacked out Range Rover yet.

If you don’t drive like a (insert insult here) then you have nothing to fear from Mikey, he isn’t out with a speed gun on fast roads. He targets idiotic urban drivers.

A jury at Southwark Crown Court took three hours and 51 minutes to clear the agent of dangerous driving and common assault, which he had denied.

He had previously pleaded guilty to ignoring a Keep Left sign to make a right turn and was fined at the magistrates' court, the jury was told.

Superb result indeed. Arse in a Range Rover is caught being an arse and fined appropriately.

Kudos to the Range Rover driver's lawyer, that was dangerous driving all day long.

I wonder if this sets a precedent that it's now OK to slowly drive into Extinction Rebellion type protestors standing in the middle of the road!

If the driver had obeyed by the rules, he wouldnt have had to go to court to defend himself. Drive is a bellend, Van Erp is misguided but sometimes has a point

Only if they jump on the bonnet and hold on.

It does show how screwed up it is though...

The lady who nudged one of the idiot protestors from Insulate Britain gets a driving ban for 12 months, this clown gets off with what is plainly dangerous driving and whilst not completely off free, gets what you may consider a slap on the wrist so to speak.

As said above kudos to having a good solicitor.

Whilst I don't necessarily agree entirely with Cycling Mikey's approach, his reasoning is something that I cannot disagree with espcially at the corner in question where impatient tossers fail to see the obvious issue of going on the wrong side of the road to take the turning.

Car hit him, for the second time, was in contact with him when elected to go up rather than under, plain from the overhead view, less so from the one taken further back.

Jury must drive like this.

Not condoning the driver at all, I take issue at the fact CM has seen footage - which I assume the jury did - of a dash cam from another car showing him clearly ‘jump’ on to the bonnet yet he is pursuing this ‘no jump’ angle. I don’t doubt he took a split decision to go above or below and took the former, but why lie about jumping?

Unless his definition of jump is different from everyone else’s.

Mikey is not on trial. The car hit him several times.it advanced onto him.

Were I on the Jury, he would have been exonerated.

Cycling Mikey is a cyclist that regularly catches people on their phones whilst driving in and around London. Gandalf corner is where people use the wrong side of the road to turn right and there has been a series of accidents.

Hence he steps out in front of them...usually with interesting results and he sends the footage to the police.

Were you his driving test examiner, you'd give him a licence?

Hmm….

I never said he was. I never said it didn’t and I never said it didn’t.

Regardless, he’s lied.
