KLM Air Miles

My KLM Air Miles expire at the end of the year, short of booking a flight before they expire what are the options .
If I was to get an AMEX Gold Card (free for year one) would the amex points credited to the KLM account keep the miles alive?
Any ideas/experience appreciated.

BA do the cheapie card that you may be able to transfer the points too.

Transferring from Amex to BA worked for me to keep my wife's BA account active. Worth a try if you move across e.g. 500 MR points.

There's no good way to move Skyteam miles to One World AFAIK.

Thanks but looks as if BA card is only for Avios.

Pre Covid I had been keeping the account alive using Hertz for holidays and using their award scheme, But its a while since had the opportunity to have a holiday.

Amex card ordered, so all going well should be able to rack up 500points and transfer to KLM miles before they expire.

All sorted earned 500 points on Amex and transferred to klm miles. Expiry now 11/24
