Does anyone know this 12C?

Link doesn't work, is it this one? https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202210060...
My only thought would be, is it worth considering stretching another £10k for a 650S Spider? Depends how firm your budget is of course. 650S 'open for offers' on a £95k asking https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202210070...

could I ask people's opinions on the 12C spider? what if any are the must have options? I am aware there are not a lot of them out there, all help appreciated.

Bought my first one to compliment a few other cars end of last year and can safely say it’s my favourite by a country mile; such an accomplished and technical drive yet sublimely smooth when taking it easy. It had to be the spider for me because, together with the sports exhaust, you get a much more visceral experience. Having read all the reviews, I was expecting something incredibly dull and muted but have been surprised by the character of this thing. Less obvious than a Porsche but more of an occasion IMO. 650S was a consideration but I personally prefer the more muted styling which in my opinion has allowed the car to age gracefully. It’s also a much rarer sight on UK roads, the spider especially so. I did what everyone tells you not to do which was buy from a tiny, unknown dealer. I went and inspected it, saw it was spotless and drove well and had it taken to Thorney who confirmed as much and warrantied it. First service with McLaren under my ownership and they said they have never seen such a clean example. Proud moment. Should also add there have been ZERO issues, which I cannot say for my other cars!Andy

Mine was lucky enough to have had carbon ceramics fitted by previous owner at McLaren. Incredible brakes. It has all of the carbon extras possible but I think this is superfluous to requirement. Nice to have interior carbon where you see it. Keeping mine forever. Performance bargain.
I have a 12C coupe. Very happy with purchase. Possibly inferior to a 458 but just over half the price. So extraordinary value for money. Likely to not depreciate much more. Do ask about the paint bubbling issue. If no replacement panels and respray have a very close look at the wheel arches and bonnet lip.

Could I get owners opinions on the better car? The 12C or the 540/570
Thorney answers that in one of his vids (in his opnion) and guessing most owners on here, unless having owned both, will give you a biased view of what they prefer because its what they own.The 650s is probably more of a direct comparison as its still the same suspension, the 540/570 is more standard with anti roll bars.
Go try to get a drive in all three is my recommendation

I don't see a 12C being inferior to 458, the other way round yes.kevinpsw said:

Only inferior for non-performance drivers who mistake jittery NVH and unsettled steering as being somehow positive…..
Congrats, do post pics and details when you get it.
James at McLaren Hatfield told me the 650 is a real step above the 570 to drive, but also 'twice' the cost to run - although I think that perhaps says more about McLaren service prices on the Super Series, whereas independents can probably make it more cost-effective to own.

To be honest, I think it shows he was massively exaggerating. Super series servicing doesn't seem to cost more than sports series - mine certainly didn't.
