Hey,

So I am having some issues with my trainers clipping the brake and accelerator at the same time in my M2.

Based on this and it being a bit tight in the pedal box for my 11.5's I have made the decision that I need some footwear to drive in.

So, whats everyone using?

The other part is that I don't want to look like a complete wally when I am walking around at a coffee shop so an actual racing boot is out the window.....

In before a seasoned PHer suggests a pair of converse 1 star which make them look like Moby and/or a perma man-child

Geox. Narrow, nice thin sole. Leather uppers that do a decent job of looking like shoes/trainers.

Classy in a new-money way, with an undeniably sporty twist.

Christ.

You would be a brave chap to walk into a fish and chip shop in Wigan with them on your feet.

Love a shoes thread as invariably most post up utter abominations, such as these!

I have a pair in plain dark brown leather. Quite inconspicuous.

A few car journalist seem to wear Asics trainers. They tend to have a thin sole. Not the serious running shoe versions.

That's what I wear but I'm not posting up which pair for everyone to rip the piss biggrin

Is 'new-money' a euphemism for more money than sense? Not only do they look absolutely st but vastly overpriced st.

What sort of boats are you putting on your feet that they’re clipping multiple pedals? I’m a size 13 and have no issues with any sort of normal shoe, even in a car with a pedal box that looks like this, including heel-toeing.

Anyway, “golf shoes” (without cleats of course) are a good shout as they’re narrow and thin soled, and you can get them in sensible colour schemes.

The most important thing is, they must match your gloves.

They could be a good shout

Also looked at Puma Speed Cats but they look, errrrr, a bit European for my liking!

I have a pair of Todd’s Gomino’s but wanted a trainer style shoe, most drivings specific stuff just seems to look a bit naff
