Electric Wing mirrors stuck

Had me car a few weeks. Drivers electric wing mirror was always a bit slow and creaky. Now it seems to close/open only halfway each time I hit the switch, sometimes it works fine but generally it just gets stuck.

Is WD40 a good idea as suggested on YouTube ?

Update: Bit of silicone grease seems to have done the trick
