Tomorrow it's a Sheffield to Lake District drive at teatime (4.30 to us northerners). In case of any bad traffic and st radio, are there any thoughts on family friendly podcasts, maybe some form of comedy? Kids are 12 and 16. I listen to The Beckett and Widdicombe Parenting Hell one but would steer clear due to fking this and fking that.

Cheers.

We often listen to Radio 4ks You’re Dead To Me podcast with the kids on a car journey, covering historical figures with some comedy.

How about radio show podcasts to keep it family friendly?

Stuff like:
Kermode and Mayo
Elis James and John Robins
Maybe Adam and Joe if you don't mind going back a few years

There's also The Infinite Monkey Cage for something more cerebral.

No Such Thing as a Fish is good but can get a bit adult at times.

Stick Radio 4 on and let the kids learn something while you drive. Sheffield to the Lakes is hardly a big trip.

There's a whole lot of easy listenable stuff on 4Extra on BBC Sounds e.g. 'Cabin Pressure' has just started again from the beginning.

I know, just didn't want them glued to phones with Netflix downloads.
