Well I still haven’t got around to buying a compressor and gun as I’m still st at glueing but I need to move on and just cover it up with paint.

Do you use a booth with a fan or just go into the garage and to hell with the overspray.

Are water based paints much friendlier to your lungs?

I spray in the garage or outside but wear a mask aswell. You can get a spray booth with fan to an extraction pipe (you could hang out a window) for £100 on Amazon.

My mate who builds full size aircraft in his garage managed to cobble up a very effective spray booth for not a lot of money by using Facebook market place.
He paid a tenner for a flat pack single pine wardrobe, a fiver for an old kitchen extractor hood and married the two together. The tumble dryer style hose from the hood went out of the garage window and I think he even utilised the lights on the hood.
