New Year New Car
Discussion
Hi everyone,
I’ve been reading through most of the threads in this section over last couple of months as my current company car will go back in January and, I’ll move back to a privately own vehicle.
Looking for some inspiration…
Requirements:
Estate, Saloon or Hatch- boot size around 500lt
5 doors
Comfy
A bit classy
No sport car handling required but fun enough to drive (3 series type)
If auto, something that won’t fall asleep at junctions (ZF8 gets good reviews? Never had a auto before)
Diesel- annual mileage 18k with mix trips, from a few miles to 500 miles a trip
50mpg average (work will pay 33p a mile)
Budget 10 to 15k
Mileage of the car around 60k
Not super expensive to repairs-service
Bonus points for apple car play (or possibility to retro fit one) and AWD
So far I’m considering:
2015 3 series x-drive 330d
2011 XJ 3.0d
2016 Giulia 2.2d
2013 e class 250/300d
2015 XF - not sure if I can stretch to the awd model
Any low mileage 159 d left in the country??
Anything else to consider?
Thanks

The 330d is better in rwd form than Xdrive imo, here are my picks.I’ve been reading through most of the threads in this section over last couple of months as my current company car will go back in January and, I’ll move back to a privately own vehicle.
