Automatic City car - budget 18-20k

My parents (late 70's) need a new runabout, local journeys only with very occasional 150 mile trip. Auto box is essential, budget is £10k plus their Fiat 500 which is valued circa £9k. I'm thinking Toyota/Kia/Hyundai for reliability/ worry free motoring. Any other thoughts?

Ideally new/ pre reg but may consider < 1 yr old with under a few 1000 miles.

Forgot to say, needs to be petrol. EV would be great but they're not ready for it sadly.
