CORSA 2016 Design - Wet Carpet and water in boot

My daughter has just bought her first car. We have noticed a lot of water in the boot under the spare wheel. The carpet in (rear passenger side is also wet through). We cannot see where the water is coming in - the door seals are bone dry and there isn't anything damp/wet above floor level. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks
Wrong part of the forum buddy, but use a hose on the windscreen in each corner and see if an equal amount of water comes under each front wheel. It's probably blocked with tree leaves and gunk.
Next check the cabin air filter, that's likely to be damp. Check that as a starter and we'll be able to advise further.

Is it coming in around the rear light clusters? Is it possible that they have not been fitted correctly after changing a bulb or something?
Water in the front of the car as previous explained is usually caused by the drain holes under the windscreen scuttle being full of decomposing leaves and dirt and causing water to come in through the heater intake.

Behind the rear bumper cover there are two air vents and these can be prone to water ingress on several models of car. I've recently removed and resealed these on a Ford Focus that had exactly the problem you describe. Water was entering low down and finding its way along a chassis member into the spare wheel well and rear footwell.

Like you say, it turned out to be coming in through the rear lights. A bead of silicone around the holes for the wiring sorted it out instantly.
