I know it’s a marmite colour but I love it! 3 owners make me wary. Going to look at it tomorrow.

Yes, I guess it will get a lot of attention, not necessarily all good!

You'll be paying a premium for it too. right at the top end of the market. Austin yellow is much more subdued.

Do you mean this one is overpriced or you feel the market may well decline generally (wouldn’t disagree)?

Hopefully I will get a reasonable trade in, although I have my doubts given my previous experience of BMW dealers.
Tanzanite is a great colour, there don’t seem to be any for sale at the moment.

They all just appear to use WBAC to value trade-ins these days. I would go online and get a valuation from them first in any case, so you have a ball park figure in your head when you go to the dealer. Once or twice I have been bid less than WBAC by BMW, and it's helpful to have a figure to embarrass them with if they try it on. (especially if you actually bought the car from them in the first place!)

I think that its overpriced. I quantify this thought as I have recently been thinking about changing my 18 plate CP (Austin Yellow) and have looked at it's webuyanycar valuation, significantly lower than the sticker price on this. Yes mine is older, isn't a special colour and I'm not a bmw garage but lower miles, (13600). I haven't had a conversation with a garage regarding trade in, maybe I will given, the price of this one.

Got some nice options on that green one though , guess its whether they are important to you , approved used cars are always priced high but you do get a lot of piece of mind

3 owners in 3 years, average for alot of these cars.

1st could be a dealer reg to get numbers up
2nd owned it for a year
3rd had it a year

I have a 2015 m4 that I picked up last year with 13k on the clock and I was the 3rd owner, first was Rybrook BMW they seemed to run it as a demo as the paperwork for the next owner shows it had 2500 miles on the clock at 6 months old

I am expecting to pay slightly over to get the AUC warranty, especially as there is a deal on at the moment so you can buy an additional 3 years for £1500, so 4 years warranty in total. I would not consider buying any M car without.

I actually got to test drive it today. Rob, as you suggested there is a reasonable story to the three owners, first was a bmw staff car for only 3 months, last owner had it for two years where it was one of a fleet of cars and not used very much.
I was surprised at the tyre roar. It was pretty much impossible to pull away from a junction without slight wheels pin, even at very low throttle, the roads were damp although it is 19 degrees, I mentioned this to the salesman as this does not feel right, can any owners concur? Performance is as impressive as I expected, it never lets you forget what you are driving. I had the drivetrain in sport and suspension in comfort. Ride was no firmer than my JCW Mini, damping is better. It feels like a car you need to learn the limits of rather than jump in and thrash like any of the four-wheel drive hot/super hatches or even an R8 V10. It left me buzzing after the drive, which is good, rather than just thinking yeah that’s good. The colour did not look so garish in daylight as it does in the photos. There were a few minor scratches in the interior, exterior looked good, both rear tyres had cracks on the edge of the tread (they were dated early 2019) so will want those changed if I go ahead. The part ex was the same as WBAC, so I’m going to try Car Wow and a local mini specialist to see if they can better that, before deciding and take my wife back at the weekend for another look. Thanks for all the comments so far.

Can recommend carwow just used them to sell my car .

They are frisky with poor tyres on wet roads and decent tyres will help and not having it in sport will dull the throttle a little but it takes a little getting used to that's all

Nice picture of it here, from last owner I assume , spotted by the below guy in his village.

Struck me as a little odd, that the adverts are 26/9, same day as road tax expired, usual when car's traded.

BUT there was a new logbook (v5) issued on 13/10 and a MOT 7/10. the sort of actions, taken when car is sold. Did a sale fall thru? Maybe a negotiating point?
