I'm looking to add TV to my PC is WinTV the best option ?

My house has numerous aerial points in different rooms with one central box on the loft. So I can get SKY in any room. If I put WINTV on my PC will I be able to input an aerial to get SKY or does it take the feed through the net?

cheers

The boggo WinTV will have various inputs such as RF and SVideo on the back, maybe more. It'll take a sigmal off pretty much anything. My one is ancient, but fairly good. I recently swapped to an external tuner so that I could run the screen as a TV without having to switch the computer on.

I use a USB WinTV on my kitchen laptop to watch TV in exactly that way.

Get yourself a sky remote-eye thingy with another sky remote and it will transmit the remote signal back down the RF lead so you can change channel etc (needs to be plugged into RF2 on the sky box to get power)

I hardly ever watch programmes on the TV now which pleases the other half - she can watch all her soaps in peace now. The down-side is I had to buy a big hard disk to store or the films etc I record (too lazy to write them to DVD).
