Well, I had an exciting 5 races at Snetterton this weekend. I got a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 15th. The 15th was because it lashed down just before the race and I only had time to change the front Supercorsa for a wet. That was an exciting race! The back end was sliding LOADS; on entry to a corner due to engine braking and on the exit under power. I was also hit by another bike mid corner in that race, but I took the blow and it didn't upset the bike too much. I've got a nice tyre mark on my leathers though from the other guys front tyre.

So there y'go, some excitement for you

I took the Blade in for the dealer to sort my tank slapper issue out and received a TDM900 as a courtesy bike for a week. My friend followed me home from Ruislip on his Gixer 750 and giggled profusely in his lid at the sight of me wheelieing the great big armchair on two wheels. The funny bit is that you had to stand up on it and lean back for it to even consider getting any air underneath the front tyre!!

I will not be buying one of these........ever!

I phoned the dealer up today and my bike is still sat where I left it. Bloody wasters.

Yeah, if you only bid on one you never get it but bid on 2, 3 or more and you always get them all - like buses I suppose I did the same with an exhaust heat guard a couple of months ago, couldn't get one as everybody was outbidding me, so I bidded on 3 that were ending during the night, woke up the proud owner of all 3 sold the spares & made a couple of quid on one of them! - almost covered the ebay/paypal fees.

Bike serviced Friday at Blue bell BMW £150'ish

But they found a puncture -so

Tyre place Saturday, tyre off replaced with Tourance and recommended front tyre too so £212!

Ouch! - and

Moving bike, to let a guy through, in a cage, and dropped my f***in helmet on the floor.

Went to look for a possible new helmet on Sunday and bought a new winter jacket £230.

Think I'll keep the helmet a while longer!!!

Ok, a story for Chilli.

I was practising how to do Wheelies and I think I neutured myself by getting it wrong and landing on the tank on my nuts!

I didn't crash, it hurt like hell but even I had to laugh at my own stupidity.

lots of painful wheelie stuff

Wheelies ARE big and they ARE clever, but sometimes they can be oh so painful too.

Well riding home from work yesterday i came to a nice stretch of road i know, getting to know the bike more i ducked down onto the tank and give it some, i was doing about 0.9 on the scale and hit a bump i forgot about before a cattle grid! as my manly guts are hugging the tank the force of the bump winded me quite a bit wont be doing that again in a hurry

Apart from that the weather is looking great tonight for a nice evening ride

bought a new set of leather jeans, jacket and gloves on saturday morning from Hein gericke, went out saturday afternoon to break them in. Then went out early on Sunday for a ride to the coast, got 15miles from home and then slide on my arse in new leather!!
Whilst in mid-bend a nutter squirrel decided that it would be the best time to sprint across the road, consiquently it ended up locking my rear wheel and getting jammed in between the rear hugger and wheel. Well as it locked up the rear wheel queue me sliding down on my left knee and arse (at least the left slider is scraped )
End result; me: scuffed leather jeans on arse, scuffed gloves and elbow, annoyed.
Bike: scuffed fairing on the left and dents on the can, cracked right mirrior from were the bike fliped onto the right as the tyres gripped into the road.
rodent: had to be dug out with screwdriver, RIP little buddy.
excitment and sadness in one day, great value there.

best part, watching my mate on his bmw 850R (commuter bike) overtake a trackday only R1 !! He has some serious riding balls.

FOA....Kneedowndeano

Shocking! Just out of interest (for when I eventually do it) what is the average cost of replacing/repairing fairings say on a CBR600F, or a 600 Ninja?

Cheers.

Mirrors are £15 from Hein Gericke I'm still looking for fairings, but might just rub them down with wet and dry as they have a solid colour all the way through. I knew i should of bought the crash bungs when i had a chance.
E-bay will probably be the cheapest place to get them.
