DB9 wing mirror mounts

Yep, another regular issue...
I've found info for Vantages, eg: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/aston-martin/4... and https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&... but can't find anything for DB9s. Is it the same please?
I don't fancy getting that deep into it, so my plan is to ask my friendly local mechanic to get them off, then I'll bring them back here to clean up and respray, then he'll refit them.
Also - is this process likely to disable the auto-folding feature which I've just had re-enabled?
