I popped along to the VW meet yesterday with some of the SXOC boys and girls to have a butchers at some top motors. Had a good look round, then went into the pub to warm up and grab a swift 'un.

I then noticed someone that I vaguely recognised, so said hello. The mystery person was....

Mr Incorrigible.

Well bugger me, we had not seen each other for at least 6 years, when we used to terrorise Uxbridge and the surrounding areas.

Bloody good to see you again mate, sorry I could not stay long, but we should meet up again for some motor related antics.

Cheers

I managed to recognise you despite the fact your hair has gone from "student mop" to "gone" and, like my good self, your love of beer and kebabs is reflected in your waist band

Motor club re-union, not a bad idea, have you seen this seems right up our street

PS check out my profile for car re-build pics

Yeah, thanks for the observations mate

I checked out your motor before I left, very nice.

That drift day is organised by the 200 owners club, some of which I dragged along to VW. I have done a couple of RR shoot outs and top speed days with them, but no drifting yet. Willing to have a go though, and you should be prepared to see some 'ricers' if you come along...

Does Mr Strange frequent this place at all, if not why not? We should organise an MC reunion, how many other ex-MCers do you know?

Check out www.more-power.co.uk for some MC memories...

Cheers

Well roger me with a broom and call me Sandra! Mr Incorrigible, how are you doing? And what you doing mucking about with TVRs.

MC reunion sounds an excellent opportunity for some carnage. Let's do it!

Seemed a better idea than mucking about with metros astras, and spitfires which is what I was doing last time we spoke 1995/6. You heard from Rich or Simes ??

Not seen either of them since I left in '98. I stayed on and did and MSc, worked 4 days a week and ran the MC, until I could find anybody stupid, er, good enough to run it.
Rich had restored the light blue Sceptre. Last time I saw Simon he was an MOT tester somewhere in Acton I think, and shacked up with his bird. He did work at that place in West Drayton behind speed shack for a while 'building race cars'.

Have you been 'down the crown' recently?

Hello All,

Mr incorrigable,

do you remember a blue Spit 1500, well it's still in my garage. Drove it until 1999 when it started to get difficult to close the drivers door with a Driver in the car, been restoring it ever since. Getting close now, but I've been saying that for 2 years, still reckon it'll be on the road before a certain mini and a now scrapped capri however.

Have some happy memories of roundabouts and shouting "horrah" with our hands in the air as I realised there was no point holding the steering wheel anymore and we would just stop where we stopped, might be a bit more careful with it once it is finished......Nah!

Have you checked out www.more-power.co.uk?

Andy,

Do you remember being overtaken by one of the reaer wheels? I thought that rear bearing sounded funny!

While on the subject of wayward wheels - Ben what happened to the Sunbeam Alpine???

Was that just after I said

"What's that smell of burning" and realised I had no brakes (including the handbrake)?

Seem to remember that my rear wheel broke a red light and than ran into a parked Metro about 300 yards down the road!

Ah memories,
Like setting fire to the pit, (and Simes' Mini), Selling one of Kev's rads so I could go to the pub for lunch, using one of the CO2 fire extinguishers for welding gas not realising a H&S inspector was coming round......

Who was that muppet who bought my old spit

Just posted details of some of my quality motors in "My cars" section. I think you click on my username on the left or something. And why do I keep getting these goddamn adverts in all my posts?

Obviously apart from this one. Doh!
