Cleaning them 18" spiders....

Folks

The "book" says to avoid cleaning the alloys with chemicals due to the delicate bodywork but what do you guys (and girls) suggest for keeping the alloys clean (I asked in the shop for some elbow grease but they're clean out ;) )?

I use this from The Polishing Company



Works well and I have no problems when the liquid oversprays onto the body.

Wonder Wheels seems to work for Lady Topaz's butler!

They looked good yesterday, as did the rest of the car.

I spray on Autoglym wheel cleaner. Then use a sponge and hot water. Then wonder wheels. Then rinse. Then Maguires wheel wax.

Is that a bit OTT?

Quite possibly, but having just got back from 3000 odd miles of continental hooning it wasn't too hard getting all the brake dust and gunk off. They went from black to very shiny without too muck effort.

Or you could just get black wheels, like mine, then when your feelin' lazy you dont have to fuss too much.
