V8 Vantage Aerial

Hi everyone, I know the engine is the best thing to listen to but every now and then I do want to listen to the radio. The thing is, the reception in mid Essex is almost non-existent (well to the roof mounted aerial in my 2006 anyway).

I have seen some old threads about changing to an amplified internal aerial but not many details. I had a look at the tuner in the wheel well but it doesn't have a normal aerial connection. Does anyone have any details of what has been done that works?

fitting the shorter mini aerial helped me somewhat

I've fitted a stubby aerial as well, if anything it's worse, looks better though.

Not sure its worth the argument apart from to say it doesn't reflect my experience, or that of some others I know.

Mid-Essex is fine for reception on my 2007 DB9 which presumably uses the same equipment (though no visible aerial). In fact I haven't had a problem with reception anywhere, other than when leaving local radio areas as you'd expect.

I struggle with Radio 2, in fact on a journey a bit further in the sticks I can't pick up a thing.
