I have a 2014 F10 with the standard sports seats, and am wondering if anyone has successfully retro-fitted the Multifunction Seats. It would be awesome if this were a service offered by someone.

Thanks all!

Would it not be a matter of plug and play?

I can't imagine that it wouldn't be, all the control function are on the seat itself, so the only possible problem would be if the electrical connectors for the standard seats are different.

You'd have to change the rear seats as well though, the upholstery's different on the multi function seats.

It would be great if this were the case but a bit of Googling suggests it could be rather involved (including some coding and possibly hardware/wiring)…

Not correct when I ordered one (F10) you could have the multifunction seats with just the standard merino in Black, Sakhir Orange or Silverstone.

As this AT advert shows M multi function seats but standard silverstone seats

I should probably have been a bit clearer with what I meant. Yes they have the same merino leather but the appearance is different.

The multi function seats have a fluted finish on the seat base and backrest which is on the rear seats as well. The standard seats have a plain finish.

Pretty sure coding required. Bummer ode might get you there but I have a feeling it might need a bit more depending on the extras on the particular seats.

Its bound to need coding, remember that the seat settings are saved to the profile and then also the keys

the multifunction seats have more adjustable options then the sports seats...

my thoughts smile

Thanks for the feedback guys.

So I’ve found someone quite local to me (SW England) who can do the work, all I need now is the seats. They have to be post LCI ones, as the width of the runners differs from pre- LCI apparently.

I have my eBay etc searches set up but am not holding my breath for a result (must be in decent condition and Silverstone in colour).

I’ll let you know if/when this works out smile
