Ebay seller apparently won't sell to me!
Discussion
Not a life changing event but I am wondering why that may be.
They won't let me buy or even add the item to my basket.
I don't recognise the seller from any previous dealing.
I have checked my negative feedback and I haven't ever left them any.
I can't contact them to ask why.
It's not an expensive item, only £55.

You don't have to have had any interaction with that specific seller previously. The selling settings allow you to set up a "profile" which excludes certain buyers from bidding/buying items for sale.
A few things it might be:
- have you cancelled transactions with other sellers recently?
- is your primary delivery address set to the Highlands or Northern Ireland or somewhere like that?
- have you got a low feedback score?

I block buyers for all the normal reasons, non paying, dodgy returns etc and have buyer requirements set up to stop buyers with history of non payment. Also, and you mentioned it in your post, if a buyer is constantly leaving negative feedback they also get blocked. Only yesterday had someone asking questions about an item in quite a rude manner, checking their feedback every feedback he had left and been negative, over 40.!

Could be the negative feedback I guess.I don't often leave feedback, especially when the seller has thousands already. I have only left five in the last year, but two were negative.

Blimey - any common factor in the items you’re buying? I’ve bought a couple of hundred items through eBay and had a handful of issues but, touch wood, never got as far as feeling negative feedback would be warranted.
I would say I buy 50 items per annum, so only a small number went wrong.595Heaven said:

Yes, I've looked on there and I can put items in a basked. Don't know if I could checkout though.Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
