Which director, writer, actor etc do you wish had been more prolific in their time?

Obviously we'd like the people we dig to crank stuff out every week, but some creatives do keep up a pretty consistent pipeline.

Others seem to go years between anything, either due to relaxation or development hell, which is who this question relates to.

Kathryn Bigelow is one who springs to mind for me.

John Milius, Conan the Barbarian was a cracking film, really brutal violence.

John McTiernan, Die Hard and Predator, say no more.

Sam Raimi should’ve made more horror films. The Evil Deads and Drag me to Hell were great.

I’d like to see more Tarantino too. I’ve enjoyed most of his films.

Using Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines as a benchmark, then Ken Annakin. He also did The Battle of the Bulge.

Paul Verhoevean,

Total Recall and StarShip Troopers are brilliant works of scifi and satire.

The remake of Total Recall sucked donkey Dick on levels beyond imagination.

Kubrick. It's said he made a perfect film in each genre. I'd have taken two.

Charles Laughton directed only one film, 'The Night of the Hunter'. Based on that, he should have made more.
