Hi all. I have always loved the Omega Seamaster Diver 300m, however having tried it on, it's just too bulky for me. I own a Speedmaster Racing 40 which is great, and I've got my name down for the new Tudor Pelegos 39, however I'm not sure I'm in love with the matt finish. Does anyone have any intel or thoughts on whether Omega are/going to be making a 300m in 38/39mm to follow suit with all of the other watch brands reducing sizes to around the 38-40 area?

I'd be instantly down if they did, considering whether I walk away from the Tudor slot, and just wait in the shadows...

The Planet Ocean can be had in 39.5mm.

It does seem likely it will happen sooner or later. The range used to have a better spread of sizes. You could look at some of the older 37mm models, perhaps?

Have you tried the diver on a rubber strap? That saves it for me.

Yeah I have tried the rubber on, it did feel a lot better than the bracelet, but still a little too big, really hope they come out with this!

the previous model (ceramic bezel) is a bit smaller, 41mm vs 42mm. It's also nicer as it doesn't have the silly waves smile

If you put it on a Nato it takes away the lug width and wears a lot smaller

Sorry for poor photo but here is mine

What about a used mid-size? 36mm?

I’ve got one of the old plain dial 41mm ones and it doesn’t wear particularly big and is incredibly comfortable.

I'd be very interested in this size as well.

39mm and get rid of the massive helium valve and it would be perfect for me.

I also love the new Pelagos 39 so will be having a look at those once they are more readily available.

I was looking for a divers watch for my 60th birthday about 4 years ago, the two makes I was looking at were Tudor and Omega, having tried the Tudor Pelagos previous and found it too big, I then looked at the Tudor Black Bay and the Omega Seamaster 41mm, while both were very nice watches the Tudors just seemed too chunky so the Omega was bought

Obviously neither an Omega nor a Tudor, but the Longines HydroConquest is available in 39mm and is quite a slimline diver.

You didn’t ask, but I’m going to suggest anyway….

Have you tried a Glasshutte Original SeaQ, the 39.5mm version? Slightly more expensive but a better watch and extremely comfortable.
