Bought a one kilo brisket in the local butchers today… £16… about right?

What did you get exactly? A piece of the flat?

I've never seen a Brisket that weighed 2lb.

At the top end for Rolled Brisket Flat I'd say.

But if the quality is good then who cares smile

This was actually cut off a piece twice this size...... I've unrolled it and cut it into 4 pieces.... oiled, seasoned, then browned off before going in the slow cooker with a beef stock, worcester sauce and brown sauce covering it... smile Having it tonight with a root veg mash yum

Dos sound very good - might have to try that at some point.

I do like the way baconsarney does it too though. I use Henderson's in place of WS, hold the brown sauce and add a bed of onions. On a buttered breadcake. Mmmmmmm. Brisket.
