OK so a bit of fun is being had and I'm building a drift trike with a 150cc sumec m150 mower engine.

I've stripped, ported and polished. Lapped in the valves and just about to make the changes to oiling to switch from vertical shaft to horizontal following all the YouTube guides.

This engine through has a strange intake location compared to the briggs and stratton engines.
It's on an angle rather than a straight shot sideways so now the block is vertical the flow will have to kick Upwards going into the block.

The question I have will this bugger my fueling? I'm rotating the carb so it's the right way up so that's not a problem.

Cheers for any advice from anyone with a better understanding of how this will effect things.

I predict it'll be fine. The fuel will be going in as a combination of vapour and mist carried along with the charge, not dribbling along the walls.

If you are mounting a horizontal engine vertically have you checked the oiling system will work correctly?

Should be fine as long as the orientation of the carb isn't changing.

Cheers guys, I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best.
Yes it's a faf but oiling is sorted for now, until I find a tiny cheap Chinese turbo lol
