Aldermore bank / Cash savings accounts

Any horror stories about this outfit? I'm about to park some spare cash with them in an Instant access savings account @ 2.75%. The account was on MSE best buy list last week but has been removed and the best apparently is Skipton at 2.65% Aldermore appear legit and alledgedly FSCS protected, but I got fingers burned in the Icelandic banks meltdown in 2008, and I'm now nervous about storing cash in outfits i've never heard of!

I had £70k with them for over a year, but now I've sunk it into a house I have just £1k in there.
No horror stories here, good rates of interest and easy to access.

I used them back when they truly were a small independent bank and dealt with them a few years ago when I transferred out.

They were absolutely fine.

I use them to park my business corporation tax in over the year (set aside monthly) - no issues at all.

They are now part of the firstrand group.
