I'm seeking help from a member who either works in a fficial Peugeot garage or a member who knows someone that does.
I'm trying to have a fault code explained to me. I have diagnostic official peugeot software that I am using called diagbox.
My problem is not finding the code and reading it, but trying to decipher what the description of the fault means.
I would be very thankful for any input from someone who is trained on diagbox software.

What is the code? Official software may not be a 100% requirement to understand the code.

Code 1676 "permenant" "controlled alternator fault" ...... weird fault. Car runs perfectly, alternator charging as it should. Fault appeares under "injection/ignition" scan. Car just passed mot and all carbon hydron/co reading well within limits. Diagbox is the official peugeot diagnostic programme for this make of car. Never had a problem with its diagnoses until now. I cannot get to the bottom of this. I was wondering had any mechanic who was used to deciphering this code and problem who worked on Peugeots.

If you are anywhere near Newbury pop in here https://autosolutions-newbury.co.uk/
Mike Butler is a "Peugeot Boffin", fully trained ex Peugeot Master Technician, now with his own business. It's probably best if he does a full diagnostic check himself. Or he may be able to solve the problem over the phone?

I think we had a 2008 with a very similar code, it can be wiring or irc there is a battery on the NS under the wing, it relates to the stop start system I think.

If the car is driving as it should I would leave it well alone.
