Full body off rebuild complete including new paintwork, new hood, new carpets, new outriggers, chassis repaint, new suspension bushes, new brakes including upgraded fronts, new camshaft, pretty much new everything in fact.

The car had not been on the road for at least 8 years, last MOT was 2013

Interesting door mirror choice. The originals are awkward; which car are they from? Many owners use Audi TT but those look bespoke. smile

Great work ! The combination of black hood and wheels suit the car.

I don’t usually like red cars but that looks superb.
Original colour? as it looks slightly darker but could be due to light.

Thanks. They are indeed MK1 Audi TT mirrors. Originally they were silver but I sanded them back and then sprayed them black. All electrics work on them as well

Thanks. Yes it is the original TVR colour. On the tin of paint it says Italian Red/Monza Red

Chassis

The chassis looked rusty but not broken. Did you have to change tubes? How rusty were the outriggers? And did you paint or powder coat the chassis?

Outriggers were rusted through on the top side of the tubes in the corners, so I replaced them.

Chassis was sandblasted and then painted with two coats of Jotamastic 90 AL W/G

Everyone knows red is best. It is listed in my TVR handbook as Monza Red.

When you say it is listed in your TVR handbook as Monza Red, do you mean my actual car or the generic paint colour?

KugaWestie - did you mean VW Corrado mirrors?

Nice re-build by the way. Enjoy.
