Saw them earlier this month at the Manchester Apollo, sweet Jesus what a band! Tight doesn’t begin to describe them. Susan Tedeschi is an awesome guitarist in her own right…then there’s Derek, probably on par as my favourite guitarist with SRV now. If anyone else has seen them live, did Derek say anything to the crowd? His wife did all the talking, Derek just raised his hand to the crowd when they exited the stage, he could have been one of the roadieslaugh, though he does seem quite eloquent and passionate about his music in interviews.

I was going to go but never got round to it. Some of the stuff they've done with Govt Mule is very good as well.

Lots of live Youtube stuff.

Derek can certainly play. Been doing it a while though wink One of those vids. is of him aged 14 with IIRC his Uncle's band. Called the Allman Brothers of whom you may be aware smile
And his (Derek's) name is perfectly not-quite-Spinal-Tap-rock-parody.

One musical gripe - they don't make enough use of the brass section, nor mix it high enough.

Seen them a couple of times, most recently in London earlier this month. Impressive band.

Never seen them live but did see Derek Trucks when he was guesting with Eric Clapton some years back but I certainly like what I've heard from them.

Yep, another fan here and I went to the Manchester show too, which was immense. I do like Derek’s quiet demeanour, as his guitar does all the talking. But the rest of the band are equally talented as that Manchester show demonstrated.
There’s a very good interview with Derek on the Rick Beato YouTube channel, which really highlights Derek’s immense musical knowledge & intelligence.

As a band I enjoyed them at Crossroads quite a few years ago (video - Midnight In Harlem I remember well).

Only experienced Derek live when he was in EC's band back in 2006 or so, including doing some of the old Derek And The Dominos stuff like "I am yours". He's awesome.

Susan's voice does things to me! She is fantastic.
