Summer Holidays 2023

Cant find any thread so I'll start
Looking at August 2023 in Majorca / Mallorca for about 3 weeks / a month. (North East - Pollenca / Alcudia)
Accommodation prices are insane on VRBO and AirBnB.
Just two of us coming in at nearly £3k for something basic with AirCon. (apartment)

Might just have a look at The Canaries instead!

August is obviously peak time, going rate in Mallorca is over £1k per week. I think you will struggle to find anything cheaper!

Booked this place months ago for next summer. Driving there from Leicester with the extended family, going to swing by Stelivo on the down or up (not decided yet).

Also manged to nab one of only 2 captains suites for the ferry, I think its the same room as last summer,beats been cramped into aluminium tube in the sky everytime for me. Portugal for summer 2024 is already penciled in as well (I like to plan ahead )..

Captains Suites - I presume this is Harwich -> Hook of Holland? If not - which crossing are you using?

Are you planning any stops on the way?

Harwich to Holland, same route as last year to Norway. One stop overnight some where in Switzerland, not sure where yet. Will have 6 people in the car so makes booking nice accommodation easy as we can justify spending ££££ without feeling bad. Age range is between 7 and 70, so again realistic travel times needed.

Way back will likely be only 3 of us, might spend a few nights in France for the food and wine .
