Guardians Holiday Special
Discussion
The early Marvel films were successful as they treated the source material with respect. As result they carried wide appeal to young and old. Marvel have been criticised for following a formula and post Endgame the output has been uniformly disappointing.
I haven’t enjoyed the Disney Marvel TV output at all. I watched the Guardians holiday special earlier.
It’s clearly aimed young. I thought poor Chris Pratt looked hollow eyed and bored throughout.
I felt the same. It lampooned itself and holds little appeal at all if you aren’t young.
I’m saddened how Marvel have lost their way. The entire Avengers roster has been replaced by a female version of the same character. It’s all disappearing up it’s own wazzoo.

Oh right.
You seem to suggest that, post Endgame, audiences could expect a fall off in quality and storytelling.
If so, you have been proven right. I think it’s a crying shame though.
The rich history of stories is deep with much not yet explored. Promoting diversity is noble but shouldn’t require sacrifice of storytelling or quality to achieve.
Many seem to agree that the quality of phase 4 hasn’t been what was expected. I just don’t comprehend why this should be so.

It's a one off special for Christmas with most likely a limited budget, just a bit of fun for the whole family and not to be taken seriously with a christmassy message.
I enjoyed it for what it was and there were a few funny moments, Drax was good.
As someone above said compare it to the Star Wars Xmas special which was so horrific even Lucas would wipe it from the the face of the Earth if he could and that was 2 hours long.
This is a about 45 mins long and had a few things which will be probably be brought into canon but overall if you didn't see it you're not going to miss anything.
I wouldn't take anything more from it than what it sets out to be or base my thoughts for future films on it.

It seems to be rating pretty well on IMDB.

We have it on our radar to watch. I'm not expecting anything spectacular from it and i dont think i'll give it too much scrutiny when i'm watching it

I really don’t know what you are on about?
I’m talking about how poor this was.

Are you arguing with yourself here? You seem to suggest that, post Endgame, audiences could expect a fall off in quality and storytelling.
