Advertising a new business
Discussion
I have very recently started a new business here in France where we live. It’s a vacuum cleaning service up to a max. height of 12 metres. We do both internal and external vacuuming.
Mrs S has done the usual Facebook stuff and my van is being wrapped. We also have a website.
I hope the van will be the best money spent as it’s a new concept in our area and judging from a trawl through Google, the entirety of France. We are getting enquiries from 2.5 hour drives away but not much locally as yet.
Our focus in Spring will be château and wedding venues,at the moment it’s gutter cleaning as the leaves are starting to fall.
We didn’t think we would be doing this at 52 years old but we are doing it so our son has his own business when he is mentally capable. The idea is (in time)we find the work and quote,he goes and does the job.He can put his headphones on and just get on with it.

Hopefully you've checked that he wants to be a vacuum cleaner operative as a career?I'd think about knocking on appropriate doors and introducing yourself and the operation. I'm thinking about town halls which have decorative fixtures and fittings at height. Also museums, hotels, train stations.
I think you need to meet the people who are employing 'at height cleaners', rather than, for example, advertising online and hoping for a result.

He’s 11.4m tall - it’s almost inevitable.
I regret not going with him to volleyball and choosing basketball as a young teen lol
