This is for a wordpress based ecommerce site, running a woocommerce enabled Elementor based theme.

(disclaimer - as a customer I don't use google pay or apply pay so I might be a bit unfamiliar)

I'm imagining a customer visits a simple site and chooses to buy a product.

They select the quantity, tap on 'buy' and then they're given options of how to pay - Google Pay, Apple Pay, Paypal or credit cards.

When they make the choice, there's no requirement to create an account, the payment is handled by the provider dependent, presumably, on how the customer has their accounts linked/handled by the payment provider.

Which provider would enable this, Stripe? Woopay? I'm looking to integrate this into a new site and I'd like it to be easy and safe for the customer.

Any recommendations please?

Mine is all done through the website platform - shopify.

It is the easiest way to do simple integration and it not overly expensive and I am sure there are others, some may even bolt into / onto your existing site.

@DSLiverpool is as good a man as any to help here.

I know, it was just for comment that it is usually bundled in within which ever ecommerce platform you use.

Hence the follow on about finding a cart / shopping / ecommerce bolt on for your current plateform.

Yep, checking that out at the minute - I'm trying to find out what the process is that the customer has to go through, looking for something as quick as possible for them, without them having to deal with account set up etc. How are you finding that side of things?

I had a one page checkout...... no logging into accounts etc. Could use Paypal, ApplePay, Googlepay....

Sounds great, just what I'd hoped. Any issues with Stripe suddenly telling you they'd refunded customers or anything?

Nope. You need to do that although it's one click again....

Sounds the perfect solution for you Rev'd.

Might have a look at it myself as I need to build a simple, 4 product site built.

Just for the record, my main problem I think, is not having a prior understanding on how different integrations work together but also the number of separate accounts that are required of you get everything working together.

Bit of PITA but obviously it can be done - for instance, didn't realise Stripe was basically 'external' to woocommerce/woopay, I was looking for a plugin inside WP dashboard.

As far as I recall I've needed the following and therefore log in details - even for a simple ecommerce site:

hosting package for domain+webspace - log in
wordpress admin - log in
paypal account - log in
woocommerce/woopay account
stripe - log in

...and could be described as optional but seem to be important enough to be a requirement:

jetpack - log in
monster insights - log in

I wouldn't like to guess at what a complex site needs...

Stripe works well for Woocommerce. Got it installed on 50 or so ecommerce sites and not had a problem with the plug in or with Stripe admin Apple Pay just needs to be selected and it just works.

Let me know if you need any pointers.

Should qualify that…… your better getting individual plugins than use Jetpack. Used to cause me no end of problems till i turned it off….

That's good to know, thanks (think I'll need one or two).

OK, will bear that in mind. Just binned off ASEIO, seemed a bit fixated on the socials. Will look elsewhere.

I wish, it’s a recent Stripe competitor that is cheap and works seamlessly. No good on basic Shopify but ok on Plus and Magento / Woo.

Latest things are HEPA air filtration, sweets, a dropshipping challenge and the club.
