V8S Chassis

I have just bought a V8S. The chassis and suspension are very rusty though still OK. This winter I would like to get them sorted. Can anyone reccomend a good specialist to do this at reasonable cost?

Where are you based Tom, this isn't the V8S off Ebay is it?

It was advertised in the TVR magazine. I'm in Inverness
way up north. Good TVR type roads up here!

You're not the only one using the N Scotland roads to the full - I'm in Elgin and I've seen at least 2 other S's in the area this summer!

Moore racing in Milton Keynes is going to be too far a trek for you then. I have not heard of anyone on the S forum from Scotland getting their chassis done. You could also try the wedge, or classic forums.

Noel at V8 Sports & Classics near Haddington is currently putting the finishing touches to my S4 which has undergone a full body off restoration.

Can I be rude and ask how much a rebuild like this costs? (In terms of man-hours if you prefer.)

Jim, I have and now I wish I hadn't ! how much do you think I could get for my kidneys on ebay ?

Although it has cost a lot more than intended. I am really pleased with the end result, the car is looking really good especially with the refurbished wheels and roll cage fitted. Noel's just waiting for a couple of final items to arrive and hopefully the car will be on the road in a few weeks time.

GreenV8S - More than the value of the car is the answer. I decided to have everything on the car upgraded. Bigger brakes, Nitron shocks, roll cage etc. The attention to detail that Noel and his team have put into the rebuild is amazing. Its a pity that most of it is now hidden with the body back on the chassis.

After my much less radical exeperience with chassis off refurb i can fully understand that.
