Hey folks, Late post this but I'm off to London tomorrow for a few days staying with friends and off for the weekend for a break.

I will have tuesday free however as the guys will be back in work.

Any ideas for a car related day? Or something interesting to do for the day. I've done most museums and the main tourist sights.

Staying in Clapham with zero knowledge of London geography, so it would need to be on the tube lines or taxiable.

Cheers folks,

Brian.

Avoid the OXO tower at all costs

For car related stuff, try a stroll along Park Lane via Knightsbridge and down Sloane Street to the Square down the bottom. Always lot of exotic and fun cars down that direction.

There are plenty of top end dealers around as well:
Lambo at Sth Kensington tube station
Ferrari, Morgan and Maserati on Old Brompton Road
Coys in Kensington (near the Royal Albert Hall somewhere!)
and of course Porsche, Aston, BMW, Jag and all the nice swanky hotels on Park Lane!

Why not pay 15 credits and go on a jump on, jump off bus... you can then get off at anything that looks interesting, and learn a bit about London.

I did one after working there for 10 years and it can be fascinating..

Personally I would go to the Stubbs exhibition but I suppose the majority on here would not share my taste. Alternatively there is the IMperial War Museum and as someone has suggested there are some fabulous garages

Actually I would endorse the bus tour.......I avoided it for a year but it was good fun for a day if the weather is good.

If you want a pinting buddy on Tuesday evening let me know!

Bump!!!

Cheers guys,

Got in late on Monday night/Tuesday morning, 5am to be precise, delayed from 11.30pm. So kinda tired on tuesday. Went for a stroll around Tate Modern again and one of the boat trips on the Thames.

Adrian, would not have been able to have a few due to extreme tiredness of all involved. Your post was after I left unfortunatly. I'm over regular enough, so next time for sure.

Still don't get the OXO tower thing though. I had an invite to a party there but was in Spain for the weekend.
