Finally,

I am now getting unsolicited emails offering be container rates from China.

Today is the first one I have seen with a 20ft container costing under $1000.

So a bit of shopping around should see that lower further.

Good news for 2023!

Jesus, weren't they up $18,000 at one time?

I think that was for a 40ft'er but yes.

Now there is a glut of empties and capacity. But it is still between 2 and 3 times what is was.

Still looking good for imports in 2023, and with the dollar recovering a little too.

I'm in the import game and this is very welcome i must say.

This will have a direct impact on bringing inflation on goods down too.

This news really seems to indicate how big a slowdown in global economy there has been?
