Computer monitor to watch TV from Sky Q mini box?
Discussion
As per the title, is it as simple as plugging an HDMI lead into the Monitor instead of a TV? Yes, the monitor has built-in speakers (and a headphone output which could be connected into e.g. a soundbar).
Will the picture resolution etc just sort itself out or might some manual adjustment of the display be needed?
Will the display drop to standby when there's no signal? Presumably the Sky Q remote won't be able to switch the display on and off because it will have no IR receiver.

It's an Asus Pro Art PA278QV.
A family member requested it for Christmas and has now changed their mind! It's still "new, boxed and sealed" so I'm trying to decide whether to try to use it myself for TV purposes or sell it on via ebay etc. There's an old TV in the kitchen which could usefully be replaced but they no longer make TVs in a size that will fit under the cupboards...
(Mind you, they no longer make ovens that will fit in our oven cabinet but that's a different challenge!)
