Online Translation - Help

I need to translate a couple of documents from Dutch to English, but I can't seem to find a translator that will a) do it b) work.

Any ideas ???

Babelfish does not do Dutch

Rivergirl they are fairly long, they are tender documents. I would not want to push you into translating them as I know how boring they are to read when they are in English let alone translating them from Dutch.

I can't believe I can't get them done on the web. If I wanted to translate into Chinese no probs but Dutch, no way

Again, if they're legal documents, the translation is never going to be 100%. Should be ok if you just want to get the jist of something though.

Fourwheel - It is not working I think there is way to much text. I have tried to split it and it still does not do it.

It's gets hit a lot so it does give some trouble even with short phrases. Try when the USA aren't logged on.

Are these documents for your information only just to see what they say, or will your company (or whoever) use them to base a tender on?

If the latter - pay to get them done professionally. It's a false economy to try the cheaper routes or the Babelfish-type attempts at translation. If anything is misunderstood or mistranslated you could lose out on a big contract, and for the sake of a few hundred quid it's worth doing the job properly.

Seemed fine for me, I think the issue may be the amount of text you are trying to translate. Try just copying a couple of sentances at a time, translating them then pasting them back into Word or whatever. When it's all done, then read it as a complete document. These things can't seem to handle more than that.
