Sorry im not interested in buying but just to let you know that there is very little performance difference between the MkI & MKII (I own a MkII and have driven both). The main improvements on the standard MKII over the standard MKI were 6 pot brakes, steel syncros in the 'box, slightly different suspension geometry, slightly heavier car, slightly more power (381bhp) to compensate for the extra weight!

Why do you want to change??

Cheers

There won't be much in it on top end speed, the real difference will be noticed in through the upper middle rev range.

I was just about to say rip their arms off, however, GT3 prices are the topic of much discussion at the mo, especially the RS, have heard that there are an awful lot of them available at the moment, so this will have an effect on MKII prices.

Best advice is to do as much homework and as many comparisons as poss !!!

Guards Red is not the most popular colour for a GT3, but still looks good all the same.

Woah.....there is a GT3 in Dublin! Do you track it at mondello? What is VRT like on a Mk II?

Sorry to thread hi-jack but feel free to drop into the new Ireland section.

Is that the red one at OPC east London? Had a brief look at it and it seemed a nice car. I think the red looks stunning on it.

The bloke who originally owned my car (mk1 clubsport) went on to buy a Mk2 then an RS - he said the Mk1 was a better drive than the Mk2.

I was tempted myself! Wife thought the red was a bit too flash though, and really I want an RS.
