Second time I’ve had this. Car has only done 500 very steady miles. Both times when I turn the engine off and restart it disappears. I’ll give my OPC a call, but just wondered if anyone else has had the same fault and has any insight. I suspect it’s a sensor.

Similar issue has been reported previously by some where there has been something in the fuel line (metal filing ect) that gets picked up by a sensor.

You can also get that fault if the cars not been used for a few weeks.

Yep. get it booked in. Good chances it's a fault sensor somewhere. There have been reports of a batch of dodgy sensors being fitted to cars in the US. Diagnosis should take the Technician about 5 minutes.

I wouldn't worry about it as you're under warranty. Inconvenient I know but give you a chance to look at some shiney metal at your OPC while they fix it.

I'd imagine the OP would rather just look at his own 500 mile old hunk of shiny metal in his driveway! smile
