New Porsche Order Updates/Process
Discussion
I've just been given a build slot for a new Porsche I ordered some months ago (my first new car order ever I think!). I've seen some of the Americans on Rennlist saying that they get regular updates/pics of build/status of build etc through an app (MyPorsche App) - they're able to track the build and delivery etc.
Is this something we can do here in the UK? How does it work?
Or do I need to continuously beg the moronic saleswoman for updates every week?

Create an account on My Porsche and the salesperson will be able to link your order to that. You’ll then get updates when the car passes through the 5 stages.
Once you’re at Stage 4 (Built) you get a few pics of your actual car appear.
Got it. Thank you.Once you’re at Stage 4 (Built) you get a few pics of your actual car appear.
I've got the MyPorsche app already for a separate car.
At what point does stage 1 kick off? Apparently my car is being built over Dec/Jan (strange, I know), should I have a link by now?
The MyPorsche app isn't very accurate.
My car currently shows as Stage 3 - scheduled for production, but my OPC insists that the order is not yet confirmed for production. I am expecting the car to be built in Jan/Feb.
It sounds like you should have an update on your app by now. Have you tried to login onto your MyPorsche on the internet, rather than just through the phone app?

Just giving this a bump as dealer informs, the car is now built and sitting at factory compound - V311 Status I think. What's strange is that I've received nothing by way of notifications from MyPorsche App/Emails/Pictures of the car - I thought we got that.
It's not a 911 nor Taycan by the way.
Also, what's likely time to dealer from this point? Leipzeig to London?

There is sometimes a way of seeing the photos even if they aren’t showing in the my porsche app. I’m pretty sure there is a how to guide on rennlist but I can’t find it so I’ll try to explain briefly below…
1) Open google chrome, go to porsche website, log in and click overview (You should see an digital image of the car and stage X of 5)
2) Right click on the car picture and click inspect
3) Click the network tab
4) refresh your web browser (F5)
5) Scroll down and click on “Orders?include-full-content=false”
6) Click Preview and then open up the subheading where it says “0: {orderId:……”
7) You should then be able to open another sub heading “production images” which hopefully if you have production images will show URL addresses which you can then paste into your web browser.
Give me a shout if you need a hand…

No digital image nor indication of stage of build...
MP app is pants. I've been on scheduled for production for ages, just got off the phone to OPC who has said it's in the paint shop and still on for 1st March collection.
I think in some countries, US being one, they get a separate app called 'Track My Dream' or similar which is a lot more in depth.
In short, just speak to whoever sold you the car as it seems they have access to a better tracking system.

Wow this actually worked! Every time I chased the dealer they said they do not have any production pictures. I have now found 3 production pictures. Looks like I am on Pirelli's instead of michelin's though. 1) Open google chrome, go to porsche website, log in and click overview (You should see an digital image of the car and stage X of 5)

Great to hear it worked for you. I had a call off my OPC yesterday saying the car is at Emden. Unfortunately still no pictures for me as it states the car is currently scheduled for production. Hopefully some will appear on there soon.RacerRyan said:

Did the OPC tell you when they expect the car to land with them?G40R_JL said:
Any pics krispe?
Mine has been at Emden for about a week. Hopefully getting a boat today/tomorrow.
I managed to find these using RacerRyans search instructions. Last update was that it is at Emden and I am now finally expecting it to arrive at the OPC mid Feb, but not collecting till 1st March so it will be a 23reg. Car build was completed on 16th September!Mine has been at Emden for about a week. Hopefully getting a boat today/tomorrow.
