Did anyone read this part-serialisation in the Maul on Sunday?

It seems that the central thrust of it reflects what I have maintained for some time - sepcifically that the civil service are responsible for blocking, obfuscating, sabotaging and generally wrecking any moves or ideas which the government try to implement, for the sake of their own petty personal rivalries, loyalties and generally restrictive practices..

The civil service are what's in need of a top-to-bottom overhaul to get this country back in gear. I recommend burning down and rebuilding.. or at least a rolling programme of replacing crusty old farts and little jobsworth nobodies with people who could do the job effectively without allowing thei personality flaws to derail entire programmes of reform..

OTOH, maybe they're stopped Blair.con doing his utmost to fleece us to within an inch of our lives..

Nonetheless, the civil service are 90% responsible for the governmental inertia we see in this country.. they render parliament and ministers completely ineffectual and they should be burned as witches without delay.

I read it Carzee. Frightening stuff.
Was also pretty scary what he had to say about how Government drugs policy and the publics opinion of same is formed/manipulated.
Also saw the interview with Rick Wakeman on sunday which touched on the subject of drugs. Sobering!
