Would love some wisdom from you guys on my situation: new baby arriving in March to go with our 2 year old and Golf a bit tight on space so have got rid and am weighing up either an XC60 or Tiguan. Looking at 2nd hand in both cases and budget c.£25k. Buying 'approved used' as I don't want any headaches and want automatic and reasonable spec. It seems could get a 2019 Tiguan in a decent spec with c30k miles or a 2018 XC60 with similar mileage and the only thing making me lean towards the Tiguan is the larger boot, Volvo seems far more appealing. Does anyone own either? Current frontrunners are:

Weve had a few volvos and as a second hand family car, I reckon they are great.
We had the 5 pot d5 xc60, and my wife got a 19 plate 2.0 d4 about 5 months ago. The new car is a big leap on!
The 2.0 diesel is perfectly good, just a bit, meh. But then that's the way all ice engines have gone generally. Not sure about the petrol engines you are looking at.
Been reliable so far (as have alll our other volvos) and is a lovely place to sit. Seats are great. Very practical for a family too. Decent standard stereo for when I'm driving on my own. I think it's a good looking car too.
As for things I don't like, as said above engine isn't exactly luxury, although most people probably don't notice that. I don't really like the touch screen. It's intuitive, but just fiddly to use when on the move, but again, this seems to be the way most modern cars have gone.
I really don't think you can go wrong with the xc60, and to me it looks way more appealing and special than the tiguan you linked.

The Peugeot is an interesting option and I am impressed with how it looks, I was expecting to be underwhelmed. The Seat and Cupra also interesting options and the Alfa Romeo really interesting....I have my Dad's words ringing in my ears about them always breaking down....presumably this is no longer the case?
I gave the dealership a call and they advised that it has been a courtesy car for a while which I am not sure I like the sound of, perhaps it is just because whenever I get a chance to drive a car I have no long term interest in I don't necessarily let the engine warm up before booting it etc. Otherwise sounds good and I am inclined to give it a drive and see what the deal is!

I've supplied a fair few of the cars I linked to, the 5008 is a very good car well made & a good family car, the Ateca is the pick of the VAG group cars especially in Cupra form BUT I would personally buy the Stelvio they're very good reliable cars the only let down is the main dealers level of service which can be patchy (but then this is the same across all brands) the Milano Edition would get my vote.The Peugeot is an interesting option and I am impressed with how it looks, I was expecting to be underwhelmed.
