New (to me) car

Budget: 15/16k

After something that feels a bit 'special' as I have scrimped and saved for a few years with the promise of buying myself a new (to me) car.

Ideal car would be:
Fast'ish - 5-6 seconds to 60
Decent stereo, as I really like my music
Nice interior
Radar cruise, works car has it and its great on the motorway
Ventilated seats
Sunroof or convertible

Keep going round in circles in my head so hoping the vast knowledge of Pistonheads can help.
Or am I just dreaming?

L322 Range Rover will do most or all of that but I suspect it is not the car you expect.

My one had a banging stereo by meridian with 20 speakers…heated and cooled seats etc.

I have considered one of those, however I wouldn't use the 4wd gear so it seems a bit wasteful to carry it round every time I drive. Its also something else to go wrong.

I'm not sure these cars are particularly quick either?

2009 Jaguar XFR

Pretty much ticks all the boxes
Bowers and Wilkins audio is sublime. I bought a pair of B&W PX8 headphones because of the Jag.
5l Supercharged V8, with a sub 5 sec 0-60.

Lexus GS 450h has the lot. The Mark Levinson system is excellent. Plus you get the reliability of a Lexus.

Lexus ISF can be also had at your budget. 4.8 sec 0-62mph.

Obviously you don't mention age or mileage conditions

I'd be looking at a BMW 6 series (personally prefer the Gran Coupe) or a Jag XJ Portfolio would have all the luxury bits and a 6-ish time. Not sports cars of course

I saw elsewhere you'r intersted in an XJ. The sooter is 6 ish to 60MPH and 6.5 to 62MPH (gear change I guess), the 5.0 NASP is in the 5s and the 5.0 supersport is in the 4s. The stereo is good for a car, miles better than the XF, you can get them with radar cruise (but it's a rare option) and it ticks all your other options, particularly the interior which is fabulous. Fabulous drive too.

On a portfolio the seats are cooled and heated, and unlike my S Class that just used fans for ventilation the XJ actively cools the air using a peltier element so it's like menthol on your underneath. The seat heaters use the peltier too and on the top setting will get incredibly hot; my kids call them monkey seats because you end up going "ooh ooh ahh ahh ahh" if you leave it on the highest setting.

0-60 is not that low but we all know 0-60 is a rubbish measure of real world speed. I had a Diesel V8 L322 and it actually went really well, didn't ever think it needed more power and it seemed to keep up with quicker traffic well. Cross country B road you can fly along as you can see much more and the suspension soaks up the bumps...just need to consider stopping.

My L405 is 500kg lighter and is quicker than our Mini Cooper.

Most other cars will fail on cooled seats, I guess it depends on the priority value of each “want”

L322 4.2 Supercharged V8 has a 7.1 0-60 time if you could live with its unleaded addiction.

Not sure what they were thinking with the wheel colour and front calipers lol.

Also it's sad how many dark colored cars with a decent amount of power are like swirl city. Was an ED30 that's on the PH classifieds I think but found this Magnetic ST-Line Fiesta, exact same spec as the one I used to have, and it was so bad I kept a screenshot lol.
