So, this time last year we wanted a winter project.
£2,250 later we had this (the car, not the dog) ;

12 months later it looks like this;

It's had;
1. Body repairs & paintwork.
2. Interior re-fresh.
3. Sports exhaust.
4. Upgraded & lowered suspension.
5. OEM wheels & tyres.
6. New roof.
7. Engine bay & underbody clean & protect.
8. Full service & fresh MOT.
9. Probably a few other bits & bobs.
10. Even splashed out on a number plate.

Now, i'm a self confessed MX5 fanboy (sorry), currently have an ND, but this little Toyota has really gotten under my skin. Absolutely love it. Think that's partly because it's been 100% reliable along the way (so we can use it as we do stuff), plus its easy to work on, has a great parts network but mainly because other owners are just so damn helpful/nice.
Now looking for this winter's project. Ideas appreciated but a Yaris T-Sport is currently favourite.

Thanks folks, kind comments much appreciated.
We did once discuss an engine swap in this (the ever popular 2ZZ) but tbh it's too nice to mess with now and the current engine sounds and pulls spot on. Only done 70k miles as well so keeping it OEM won that discussion.
In other news we've found a mk1 local to us in need of some tlc, negotiations to convince the owner to sell (at a sensible price) are in their early stages. Fingers crossed.
