Im looking at getting my dad tickets to brooklands museum and concorde technical flight. Has anyone done this? Is it worth it? If he had any mobility issues would it be a problem? He's pretty fit for a 79 year old but just checking.

Brooklands is a great museum and well worth the visit. It is also worth popping into Mercedes next door just to see the exploded F1 car.

Regarding mobility, the site is spread out but easily done for those with mobility issues. To get onboard the aircraft there he will need to climb the steps of the aircraft but other than that should be ok. Don’t forget to visit the London bus museum which is on site and included in the ticket price we didn’t the first visit and it’s surprisingly very good.

It's my favourite museum by far. Aircraft and motorsport - every (big) boy's heaven!

I find some areas outside are a bit uneven and the start/finish straight is a gradual incline up to the bottom of the Members Banking though I manage to lurch around easily enough. Other than that and steps into the aircraft it's very accessible with refreshments, shop and toilets all on the ground floor.

We've been to Brooklands twice.

The first time I loved it and really enjoyed walking on the track.

The second time, this summer, the place was staffed with CBA volunteers and the track was completely closed for "health and safety".

Our son paid me for a trip around the Mercedes track with a professional driver in a big merc, paddles on the wheels, when he hurtled at god how fast toward a dead end, I thought christ he won't stop. Amazing trip, the driver was an ex something driver, police instructor and lots of else, then the skid pad, well worth the visit, and some amazing cars there as well.

If you are in an EV its free charging as well.
